- crouching won't work with q1bsp. You will have to switch to another format (read: e.g. q3bsp) to have crouching. DP supports q3bsp as everybody knows. The support for .MAP based collisions is supposed to be the median solution, when/if DP will support that. There is also a discussion in the Cabal...

Well... I'm not really a member of this community... but I monitor you're activity with high interest. I'm in the Nexuiz team (so I have some experience with DP). I don't see how switching to Q3 would solve your problems. - crouching won't work with q1bsp. You will have to switch to another format (...

Does anybody know what aspect of the netcode was improved? I played with prebeta4 some minutes ago with a ping of 200-210ms (I´m living in europe. ADSL connection). Player-movement is still jerky as there is a very noticeable delay between e.g. pressing jump-key and actually jumping. Same for strafi...

2. TF CAN be played pretty good in realtime. it depends from map to map (and as I see now from re-lighting), but at least bb3 was good with bots. i had a lot of fragging. also nobody said that realtime mode is finished in DP itself, right? or have i missed something? Software is never finished. NEV...

Texturing can be done in something like The Gimp, you might be able to use Blender for making models, don't know about maps though.. GTKRadiant is a IMHO very good map-editor. Starting with version 1.5 it can edit Quake-1 maps. GTKRadiant is free for non-commercial usage - this may conflict with GP...

I’ve compiled Darkplaces yesterday but I don’t know what to do with it, there’s no doc, just sources, binaries and libs. I tried to run it whithout success. There are 2 executables: darkplaces-dedicated and darkplaces-glx. Copy them to your Quake and/or Transfusion directory (where the other execut...
