Re: Is this still alive?
If you're open to a one time request, there's a patch from Willis floating around here that's supposed to get tfn working on opengl 3 and above video cards. getting that integrated into a new binary would be perfect for a reboot of our reboot :D I took a look at the patch you pointed me to, but it'...

Re: Is this still alive?
Hi guys. Not sure what I can do for you exactly, but since you wanted to chat a bit apparently, here am I :) Disclaimers: I'm not very familiar with version 1.05 of Transfusion, since most of my work was on versions 1.0 and 1.01. Also, like I Live...AGAIN, I'm afraid I'll have a very limited amount ...

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
The short answer is no. First, I don't find the time to work on many things I would like to work on these days. And second, the tool you described to me is non-trivial to develop (meaning more that a couple of hours of work), for something that doesn't seem important to me (saving some MB of data, g...

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
No, I haven't started working on it. I'm in the middle of a very busy period at my work, so I doubt I'll be able to spend some time on this for several weeks.

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
Heheh :) Indeed, it's more work that a simple ART diff program. A few randomly ordered thoughts off the top of my head regarding your requests: I won't support the GIF format as it would require more work than supporting the TGA, PCX, and BMP formats combined, with no real benefits. I can probably a...

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
No problem.
Last question: if I code a version of artdiff for Blood, do you think it would be useful to anyone? Because I think it would be quite simple to do that, but I'm not going to spend time on it if nobody cares

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
Oooh... I understand now. I didn't get that you have to merge the diff file back into the ART files during the mod installation. I was wondering how it worked exactly to have an extra ART file with unconsistant image IDs added to the Blood installation :P Anyhow, I'm a bit surprised that the process...

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
Okay, let's make sure I understand what you need. Basically, you want a program that takes a set of original ART files and a set of modified ART files as input, and then outputs a new ART file containing only the images that have been modified in the 2nd second set (or that are completely new). Righ...

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
BTW, I think the ART files have the same format across all BUILD-based games. So you may want to try this "artdiff" tool with the Blood files if you haven't done that yet. It might work.

Re: A possiable new tool for ReBUILD people...
From what I remember, I think the ART Tools from the ReBUILD project should allow you to do that. Apart from not being user friendly, what's the problem with them?

Selling Transfusion on Ouya
A couple of days ago, Nick Edwards has kindly brought to LordHavoc's attention (who has then kindly brought to my attention) a peculiar game called "Zombie Arena" by a developer called "Studio 3D" on Ouya game pages: http://www.ouya.tv/games/?show=s-z In his reply to Nick's email...

Re: Insta-Brink, headless corpses, muzzle flashes akimbo
Out of curiosity, what versions of the code and data are you using as a base for your work?
Also, are you using a versioning system for your code? Since you are apparently making useful changes, it may be interesting to commit them to our code base directly at some point.

I guess Jason Hall would be welcome to join the project if he would like to. But don't you think he would have told us so if it was the case?

If by "recently" you mean less than 5 years ago, then the answer is: none.BEAST wrote:16.What progress has been made recently for Transfusion?
As you can see from our code repository, the latest code change dates back to July 6 2008 (revision 646).

Re: Plans for an Article on Transfusion
7.Which version of the Quake 1 source code did the Transfusion originally use before opting for Dark Places? We used a lesser known Quake 1 engine called Twilight . I chose it at the time because it was an active project whose goal was to create and maintain a modern, lean and clean version of the ...
